3、 Working principle
The Woodward 505 series governor consists of four parts: electronic speed control circuit, local control panel, speed magnetic detection probe, and governor electro-hydraulic control mechanism. It forms a cascade control system with the turbine load (outlet flow) regulator, with the main regulator being the turbine load (outlet flow) PID control module configured in DCS, and the auxiliary regulator being the Woodward 505 governor. The outlet flow rate of the steam turbine is used as the set value (SP) of the 505 governor. In the speed control PID module inside the 505 governor, the outlet flow rate SP is compared with the measured speed value N, resulting in a deviation. After amplification, it is used to control the electro-hydraulic control mechanism of the governor to adjust the speed, thereby achieving the regulation of the steam turbine load (outlet flow rate).
